Robin Olds (b. July 14, 1922, Honolulu, Hawaii-d. June 14, 2007), U.S. Air Force officer, graduated from West Point, received his commission and completed flight training in 1943. Denman (b. 1922) was born in Gary (Indiana) and graduated from high school in Hobart (Indiana) in 1940. He worked in Gary at the U.S. Steel Mill for two years before he was drafted into the Army Air Corps; ironically he had tried to enlist in the Air Corps the year before but was rejected because he was colorblind.
